20 Percent Off Everything at Coldwater Creek!

If you peek inside my closet, you will see more dresses than just about any other item (except for cashmere sweaters, but that is a whole other conversation).

I also wear clothes until I wear them out.  Since I have a tiny New York City closet, I am pretty disciplined about only buying clothes that I love - and I try to take care of them so they last as long as possible.

This dress, which I call my "engagement dress" - I bought 12 or 13 years ago.  Happily, I was wearing it when Scott proposed on Central Park's Bow Bridge almost exactly 10 years ago!  I still wear it at least once a week for four months each year, so if you do those "cost-per-wear" calculations, this was a pretty good deal.

Another dress from the same time frame, which I also still wear frequently when the weather is hot.

And another favorite from last year.

I found all of these dresses, along with more than half a dozen others hanging in that tiny Manhattan closet, at Coldwater Creek.  (You may recall that they closed their stores several years ago, but are still going strong online and with their catalogs!).  Since I tend to reach for their dresses over and over - for everyday and for TV - I am super-excited to partner with them to show some of this year's newest styles on several TV shows!

In addition to dresses for work or special occasions, they also have lots of great basics, ranging from jeans and tees to the fabulous accessories you see below (love that necklace!) to the "Party of Two" dress I am wearing here (you can see the full dress, and all of the available colors, here).

Here are a few more of their cute spring and summer styles.  Like many of their other items, most of these come in misses, petites, and women's plus sizes!

Mother's Day Gift Guide

When it comes to Mother's Day gifts, I'm all about things that are practical.  Things that Mom can actually use, rather than things that, as my dad would say, "have to be dusted."

That's why I am excited to partner with several companies share fun gift ideas on my Mother's Day TV tour!

On-the-Air: San Antonio

I love doing TV segments any time of year - and especially during the holidays!

TV studios are decked out for the season, I get to bling out the table with holiday decorations, and everyone is in a festive mood.  And sometimes - as in the case of this segment at "San Antonio Living" last week - they give me a little soundtrack of Christmas music as a background during the segment.

Doesn't that make you feel just a tiny bit more festive?  Check out the the full segment here!

Timeless Holiday Dressing

Is there anything that sends you clothes shopping faster than receiving an invitation to a holiday party?  (Well - maybe a high school reunion - but we'll save that for another day).

I had a great time showing holiday looks for Coldwater Creek this morning on "Sonoran Living" on ABC Phoenix. What I love about their clothes is that they are always on-trend, without being "trendy."  In fact, I have dresses that I found there more than 10 years ago - which still look fresh and modern each time I wear them.

While these outfits are super-festive - especially when accessorized with sparkly jewelry and shoes - they are also comprised of timeless pieces you can wear for parties, family gatherings, date night or simply a casual evening with friends.  So, if you're like me and like to calculate your "cost-per-wear" - these will become wardrobe staples you reach for again and again.

Here are the complete looks (photos courtesy of Coldwater Creek):

Table for Two Dress in Dover Red; Moonlight Torsade Necklace and Earrings; Carolyn Pumps by Nina.

And finally, my wardrobe for the segment:  the Faux Wrap Sweaterknit Skirt, with Champagne Toast Earrings.  With the long, cold New York City winter now upon us, this super-warm, cozy skirt has instantly become one of my favorites.
