One year ago today, this is what New York City looked like.
Late Friday night, the forecast had called for six inches of snow. By Saturday night, a total of 26.8 inches had fallen in Central Park.
This is what I call a perfect winter Saturday!
And today? Sunny and 53 degrees - with not a flurry of snow forecast for the next 10 days.
What a difference a year makes! But when it comes to winter in the Northeast, we can never get too comfortable. Since we have had relatively little snow this winter, I figure the polar vortex is simply holding its fire until February.
