Paris, City of Light - and Color

Over the next few weeks, I'll share a few favorite memories from our end-of-summer vacation (thanks for letting me relive our trip on here!).

We started out in Paris - which may be known as the City of Light, but it is also a city of exceptional color.

From city parks to street markets, many everyday scenes are every bit as striking as the galleries of the Louvre or Musée d’Orsay.  As with some of the photos below, you can just be walking along - and all of a sudden, there is a scene or street bursting with brilliant color that just begs to be photographed!

Here, one of the many colorful flower beds at the Jardin des Plantes.

Your typical fruit stand early on a Sunday morning, with the luscious berries, figs, plums and other fruits impeccably displayed (these guys could do food styling for my TV segments).

The gorgeous Rue Crémieux - which I was excited to see in person after seeing it photographed in so many fashion spreads.

The beautiful stained glass of Sainte-Chapelle.

And finally - sunset on the Seine.
